A sophisticated sock yarn, this rich base provides a wonderful background on which to dye. This results in deep complex colours. We added nylon into this base so that it was suitable for socks and it’s a winner; the fabric is soft and velvety and has nice elastic qualities when knitted on a small needle. We often specify that speckles don’t show up so well on the darker bases, but we got some nice brights on this base during testing. The fabric has a nice drape and would work well for all sorts of accessories and sweaters, of course including socks!
